Helping people understand science
Science in todays world is most critical to being educated on many subjects. Science can be overlooked by many because of their different views on life or maybe just being unaware of what is happening in the world around us. But it is important to keep up with science because it can help a person become aware of different issues and help a person take action towards these issues.
Some of the best ways to learn is by experiencing the subject through visuals or visiting a museum. When you are attending a museum, you are engulfing yourself into the time period in which the event took place. You can actually feel like you are there and the material that museums have at their disposal for you to learn is amazing. The best way to learn is to try whatever it is that you are doing and continuously practice the craft. You may fail but that is okay. Even the experts were once beginners.
So with learning to get your hands dirty and to find the solution, I made a game that taught kids about the fun of excavating. Me and my partner decided to 3-D print 2 models of a dinosaur based off of the reptile named Archie! We cut the model into four pieces and buried them underneath the dirt, rocks and sand. Then when everything was prepared we would ask the children a question about the reptile and if they got it right they could dig for the pieces for 30 seconds. The first person to find all four pieces first would be the winner. Below are a couple pictures of the game that me and my partner had made!
